Eight gin loving friends on a mission to write a Blog about the ever-growing Scottish Gin Trail, led us on a botanical nosing and tasting journey. The Auld Post Office Gin stash now has more than 100 bottles of Scottish Gin from which to choose. You’ll be guided to nose and taste botanicals to discover your favoured Gin Profile. On your Gin Tasting journey, you can sample the full flavour spectrum from herbaceous, citrus, floral, earthy, sweet & spicy, fruity and aromatic. There’s a Gin flavour favourite for everyone ! For the Gin Connoisseur, we hold a number of 1st batch hand- crafted gins for you to nose and taste, first neat, then with an array of mixers and garnishes. Or a flight of Extra Strength Gins. The passion behind these new creations from some of the country’s master distillers is evident. For up to six guests while staying at The Auld Post Office B&B

The evening begins with a
welcome Gin & Tonic and
recommended garnish.
Followed by nosing botanicals included in the recipes for a choice of Gins, specially selected to aid your nosing journey. Nose and taste, first neat… add a cube of ice and drops of water to bring out those botanicals you’ve already identified. Citrus notes, delicate florals, pine or herbs and spices will come to the fore.
Perfect G&T for you
Now you have discovered

you will be guided through
a selection of Scottish Gins
that you’ll likely enjoy.
